The site has been founded by
whose website can be found here. It is a not for profit venture
The site is structured to assist the reservoir engineer's quest for current and historic public domain knowledge of pertinent reservoir engineering topics and is expected to earn a reputation for distilling reservoir engineering related knowledge in a form that can be readily reviewed.
The benefits of the site should be appreciated by:
This site aims to encourages knowledge sharing in the belief that knowledge has a somewhat unusual quality in that, if you have the courage to share it, it will increase in value. Its seeding, is rooted in 30 years practice of reservoir engineering in the UKCS. If it realises the vision on which it was founded then its knowledge content could ultimately reflect over 1500 years reservoir engineering experience and a massive IQ in excess of 150,000!
To achieve this vision meaningful, substantive and sustained site development is required.
Reservoir engineering in its commonest form involves the monitoring and prediction of oil and gas production and associated fluids from sub-surface reservoirs.
